Girl's Day knitting

What a wonderful relaxing day. My girlfriend came over and we knitted the day away. We each made a Celtic Trinity Knot hotpad from the Lion Brand Yarn website, then finished off the Seed stitch Spa Set from Anne Bipes Learn New Stitches on Circle Looms. On the left is a wash cloth that I crocheted and on the right is the Seed Stitch Spa set washcloth and soap sack. The washcloth got a little embellishment with a pretty crocheted border added to it thanks to my gal pal's creative talents.

The latest loomknitting challenge was making Lisa Sawyer's Classic Mary Jane slippers. These were made on the small blue round Knifty Knitter loom. Lisa's pattern is available at http://loomknittingdesigns.com/patterns.htm in the slipper section. These were a challenge to make having less than two months experience with loom knitting under my belt, but I'm really proud of them!

Child's hat

This Simple Hat from Isela Phelp's Loom Knitting Primer book has a self-rolling brim. Very fast and simple to make and the beautiful model was delighted with her new hat!

My first attempt at sockmaking. This pattern is the free Knifty Knitter Slipper Sock pattern from Yarngear made on the small blue round Knifty Knitter. You can find the pattern here: http://yarngear.com/looms/projects1.htm

And yet another hat - this one is the Basic Hat from the book Knitting Wheel Fashions. I was getting a little bored with making the same type of hat, so I made a drawstring purse by starting out with a basic hat pattern with a brim, turned it upside down, made an I-cord drawstring and wove it just below the brim section. :c)

Men's matching hat and scarf

Still practicing on hats and scarves... I really like how this scarf turned out! Red Heart yarn using the Knifty Knitter looms.

My second project was this hat and scarf set. The scarf was made on the purple Knifty Knitter board using the figure 8 stitch. The hat was made on the purple Knifty Knitter round adult hat loom. The pom-pom on this hat is pretty droopy...
